My name is Megan Carpenter and I am a bodyworker and intuitive healer in the Wilmington, DE area. My sessions are a testament to my unique blend of traditional Thai Bodywork, functional movement, subtle-body energy healing, grief and trauma recovery, and somatic practices. My approach goes beyond the physical, inviting my clients to embark on a profound journey of self-connection and holistic rejuvenation.

My love for using movement to heal began in 2018 when I started my own healing journey. In 2022, after a few years of teaching group yoga classes and working one-on-one with clients, I wanted to impact my clients on a deeper level of healing outside of fitness. Leaving my previous 14-year career as a hairstylist, I turned my attention to alternative holistic wellness. I became Reiki attuned and started performing energy healing services, but still was trying to figure out a way to combine physical and energetic healing practice that felt authentic to me.

In 2023 I began working as an assisted stretch therapist, which led me to the profoundly life changing practice of Thai Bodywork. This approach to bodywork goes beyond the physical, encompassing the holistic well-being of those who receive this offering. I use my extensive knowledge of body mechanics and anatomy to blend the ancient practice of Thai Bodywork and stretch therapy, and use my special intuitive healing touch to infuse my healing sessions with powerful energy healing. I also bring in healing practices from Reiki, grief and trauma recovery, and Shamanic traditions, creating a one-of-a-kind healing experience.

I also use a trauma-influenced lens with my Thai Bodywork sessions and clients. I use this term because my approach is not a technical trauma-informed, but influenced approach. There is physical contact between myself and my clients, but it is done with the utmost care and consideration for injuries and past traumatic experiences. I verbally communicate with clients during sessions to help keep them oriented in the room and in the moment. We only explore what my client is emotionally ready and willing to explore. If at any time a client becomes overwhelmed, we can pause or end the session. I have specific training in these techniques to help guide clients through any difficult times or experiences that may arise during the sessions.
